Bring back Carrick
|
Admits himself in today's papers that he needs to move on.
I'd love to have him back on a one-year contract (please note) if the wages work.
Still strokes the ball around like he's caressing a vagina. And let's face it, even at 35 he'd be a Ferrari compared to the Mark Noble Ford Mondeo currently chugging around the expansive OS midfield.
Who agrees on having him back?

I mean, seriously. We are in a relegation battle and people want this fucking stroller back. His lovely delicate cross field passes will be exactly what we need when the tackles start flying in away at Hull and Sunderland and West Brom.
Fuck me.

Glen Johnson too...West Ham fans will never change. You're not even allowed to have a moan on here when we lose, just have to accept it. We know our place and should have stayed at the Boleyn, instead we are still shit but have now lost our identity. Gutted.

and lets not forget SOA thought it a big "YES" if we went in for Lampard if available, and seen Defoe being touted as well.
Be almost like a reunion of the boys of 2003....

If we're going down this road, Rio Ferdinand is available on a free and we could probably get him on £20k per week.

That's West Ham fans all over, failure and lack of ambition is installed into us, it's part of our DNA. It's one reason why the new stadium doesn't suit us, it's too big and grand for us, we're just little old West Ham, and in most cases that's how we like it, and we can always say that we won the world cup if anyone starts taking the piss too much :-)

Why is it every time we hit a rocky patch there are plenty here wanting us to sign has been over the hill players? Fuck me we have had Berbotov, RVP and Eto all mentioned in the last month or so, aren’t we meant to be a club on the up to the next level???? Not trying to emulate mediocre yo yo clubs who go in for this sort of thing through necessity due to limited budgets.
Good in his day but he’s 36 now.

As much as i have admired Carrick throughout his career its a no from me. If we want to progress and move onto the next level we have to avoid signing great players past their best.

Re: BRING BACK CARRICK

The best English passer of a ball I have seen in 23 years of going to football. And that does include Bishop. Also never relied on pace.
Still I don't see how he would fit in. He would need a more dynamic midfielder alongside him which basically means he takes Noble's place. I feel that would be more disruptive than a lot of people realise.
How he (Carrick, not Noble!) never got more England caps is beyond me. Still, he will retire with a pretty impressive CV and probably be rightly proud of himself. I do find his development a bit peculiar. I remember in either his first or second season with us he recorded the highest amount of tackles of any midfielder in the league. He also had a decent shot on him from outside the box at that time. I feel he could have become a great 'box to box' midfielder...but maybe he wouldn't have lasted as long as he has in that case. Still, somehow that seemed to get coached out of him.
I have a lot of respect for the lad, but I don't see how where he is and where we are (squad wise) match up right now. Newcastle seems a good shout. Would easily get them promoted if he went in January and then be solid enough to hopefully keep them up next season before retiring as a hero.

Roeder only got the job because Freemason Terry Brown was directed to. And the reason for that is down to some comical homosexual relationship (nothing to do with Brown).
Everyone knows he was well out of his depth.
Redknapp only brought him to the club because he felt sorry for him and thought he'd earn some Masonic brownie points.
I don't think anyone thought Glenn would get the MANAGER's job!

Just what we need, someone to slow play up even more.
Ok he can pass but given who we have upfront, what's the point

This narrative that some of you are peddling, the idea that Carrick was responsible partly for the relegation, is a load of shit.
It was that chinless cunt Roeder who sent us down.

Fuckin hell,in the last few weeks we've had Defoe, Fat Boy and now Carrick. Fuckin great players one upon a time, or in Michaels case, TYNE.
What you need is young English players, ready to chomp at the bit, and be allowed to be given a chance. That takes balls, and a decent scouting team
Is that all we can come up with, bring back to make their last mint, before dropping down.
Sonething is seriously fucked with English football

The one thing that none of them have in common with Carrick is that they actually win the ball.
